Having said that, here’s what you need to know as beginner players in playing volleyball.
Understanding the Basics of Volleyball and It’s Rules
Volleyball is a dynamic team sport played by two teams of six players each, separated by a net. The main objective of the game is to score points by sending the ball over the net and into the opposing team’s court, making it land within their boundaries or forcing them to make an error.
Here’s a simplified version of the basic rules of volleyball.
- Each team is allowed a maximum of three touches before returning the ball over the net.
- The ball typically moves in a sequence of pass, set and attack (or spike), although any legal hit counts.
