  1. True, just because athletes are on off-season doesn’t mean they should slack off. It’s hard to get those muscles warm when they have been procrastinating for too long! By the way love the saying “Breathe, believe, and battle.”

  5. I can’t agree more with you and I think this applies to any professional sports. The off-season is a time to decrease intensity but not to stop training all together.

  7. We have noticed with all sports in general, you have to keep training in the off season. A lot of people ask me what my daughter does during the rest of the year, and I have to laugh!

  9. Very good insight. I’m not a volleyball player, but it seems to me that letting yourself get out of shape in the off-season is a sure-fire way to have a terrible season the next year.
